Technology / Principles
Six ideas behind GEMMA.
Separation by membrane
Plasma crosses a membrane filter; cellular components stay in the circuit and return. No centrifuge.
Russian technology
Russian membrane plasmapheresis engineering, built with European manufacturing: components and consumables from Germany, Russia and Belarus.
Portable by design
8 kg and 320 × 200 × 200 mm: the procedure goes to the patient, not the other way round.
Safety built in
Air detection, monitored pressure, automatic stops and alarms, with the operator in control.
Identified consumables
SM-PF-01 circuits and PFM-500 / PFM-800 filters, each with its reference code.
A digital layer
PlasmaNexus organises records, protocols and consumables around the clinical workflow.
GEMMA / Portable by design
Plasmapheresis where the patient is.
8 kg and the size of a small case. GEMMA travels with the clinical team, to the patient’s home, the clinic or the hospital, so the procedure goes to the patient.

Technology / How it works
Explore the system, layer by layer.
Five views of the same platform: how it separates, how the circuit is protected, how big it is, what it connects to and how it reaches your team.
- A membrane separates the plasma; cellular components return to the patient.
- No centrifuge: separation happens across the filter.
- PFM-800 and PFM-500 filters, priming ≤ 25 mL and ≤ 20 mL.

Technology / Origin
Engineered in Russia. In use across three continents.
GEMMA comes from Russian membrane plasmapheresis engineering and clinical practice. Apheresis Technology brings it to clinics, with training and support, from its offices in Mexico, Ecuador, Russia, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
- Russian technology, European manufacturing
- Clinical training in the partner's own clinic
- Support 24/7 in five languages

Technology / Presence
Offices where your team needs them.
Direct lines in five countries and a medical network platform that answers 24/7 in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Russian and Italian.
